Pianists and other performers are needed to entertain residents in our dementia cottages; lively old-time music is preferred.
We would like you to share your time by helping us offer wheelchair bike rides to our residents.
We have a duet bike which has a bike in the back and a w/c in the front.
We also have a VeloPlus Bike which has a bike in the back and a wheelchair platform on the front.

Once we received word that we could not gain an exemption in Alberta to the requirement in the Protection for Persons in Care Act for all volunteers to have a criminal record check, GS held an ethics consult and leadership team discussion around this issue.
As of today, minors can be registered as junior helpers, as outlined in our volunteer policy suite.
This change also means school groups and kids sport or activity teams can come in for one-time events and be registered as micro-volunteers.
